I actually thought this was a lot of fun. It really wreaks havoc with a gal's relationship status, if you know what I mean. She plays it straight and runs a restaurant but that doesn't mean that she doesn't know where all the bodies are buried (literally and figuratively). The heroine, Teddi, is the daughter of the Gallos and the Marcellos, two local mob families who dabble in felonies. then if i were alone, i probably wouldn't want to bring books that are all about love and relationships (family, friends, SO), because those would make me feel lonely. i might actually try to bring a few books i haven't read, to provide me with a few days' worth of novelty. my favorite books (the ones i'd miss the most) tend not to be that long, so i might actually get sick of them if those were all i had to read. gotta have some type of survival guide for that kinda environment.
